From Collaborator to Trailblazer: Building and Leading a World-Class Design Team at Reddit
At Reddit, my journey began as a collaborator under the Head of Design, addressing diverse and complex challenges across teams and disciplines. My work ranged from coding prototypes, ux design and crafting motion design to solving intricate product design problems while collaborating closely with senior leadership to deliver impactful solutions.

As Reddit’s design team grew, I became a core member of the newly established “bets” group, where I was instrumental in launching collectible avatars—one of Reddit’s standout initiatives. Additionally, I played a critical role in reviving a key project that was on the brink of being discontinued, ensuring its success and alignment with Reddit’s strategic goals.
Seizing the momentum, I took the opportunity to establish and lead an exceptional design team. Over time, I recruited 13+ talented individuals, building a multidisciplinary group comprising illustrators, art directors, motion designers, and creative technologists. This dynamic team now drives pivotal initiatives, including:
-Shaping Reddit’s product design language to unify and elevate its user experience.
-Crafting memorable moments that foster engagement and celebrate user actions.
-Supporting the development platform to enable innovation across Reddit’s ecosystem.
-Expanding Reddit’s reach through international efforts, ensuring cultural relevance and accessibility.
-Continuing the evolution of avatars as a core part of Reddit’s identity and user personalization.
-Driving growth strategies with user-centric design solutions.
Through leadership and a clear design vision, I’ve helped position Reddit as not just a platform for conversation but also as a leader in cutting-edge design and user experience.
